Who we are

This website is run by CODE INDUSTRY SRL, the data controller for the personal data it collects.

What we collect and why

When you write to us

The contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address, a phone number if you want to give one, and your message. It also records which page you sent it from. The same applies if you email us directly.

We use this to answer you and, if you ask, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, where no contract is in view, our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep your message for up to two years after our last exchange. If it leads to a contract, we keep it for as long as the contract runs and for the periods that accounting and tax law require after that.

Analytics, only if you allow it

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the pages you view, how you arrived, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store the IP address itself.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 4(5) of Law 506/2004), which you can give or refuse in the cookie banner and withdraw at any time from Cookie settings. Nothing is sent to Google before you choose. The site tells Google Analytics not to use this data for advertising or ad personalisation, and the data is deleted after at most 14 months.

When you visit any page

Like every web server, ours records technical details of each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser, and the page you came from. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, for example to stop the contact form being flooded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept only as long as they are needed for security and troubleshooting.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Some of these providers may process data in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie of its own, to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we use it, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; that does not affect what was done before. We make no automated decisions about you.

To use any of these rights, write to info@codeindustry.net. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles personal data, we update this page and the date at the top.
